I joined HGF in March 2017 and now have nearly 20 years of experience jn the IP business.
I am a member of the Benelux Trademark and Design Law Association and a certified Trademark Attorney, passing the BMM exam Cum Laude. The quality mark BMM Certified Trademark Attorney is a quality seal of Benelux trademark attorneys. I am also a member of ECTA and a professional representative at EUIPO, the EU trademark authority. In addition I am honoured to be a member of EUIPO’s SQAP (Stakeholder Quality Assurance Panel).
In my role as Trademark Director I advise a broad range of local and international client’s, mainly in the field of retail, luxury brands, food & beverage and consumer health products, on the protection and enforcement of Intellectual Property rights, with a focus on strategic and (cost) efficient management of larger international IP portfolio’s. In my career I have gained excellent skills in respect to opposition and infringement matters including negotiating and drafting settlement agreements, drafting observations and cooperating with local law firms on court actions. I also have extensive experience with coordinating transitions of incoming IP portfolio’s, rebranding projects and trademark clearance projects.
