Managing IP has published the Corporate IP Stars 2020 list (see here). This is an annual publication which recognises in-house practitioners for their contributions to the protection and management of their company's IP assets and/or influence in the IP community.
The next step for us, over the coming months, is to create profiles for the stars on this website so they can be found using the search bar or the 'Practitioners' tab of their jurisdiction (for example, see the 'Practitioners' tab for the United Kingdom - England).
If you have any feedback, suggestions or questions about the Corporate IP Stars list please write to us (email here).
Congratulations to all the individuals who made this year’s list.
The list was produced by the IP STARS research team, with input from Managing IP’s editorial team. This year’s list is primarily based on the information obtained during the research period for the 2020 edition of the IP STARS rankings and the Managing IP Awards programme (September 2019 to January 2020).
Before compiling the list, the IP STARS team reviewed available research data, including case studies submitted by law firms, recommendations by private practice and in-house practitioners, and publicly available information. We also factored in activities in the IP community and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
The IP STARS rankings are not influenced by any commercial relationship with Managing IP or IP STARS. No firm/company or individual can pay to be included. There is no fee to pay to participate in our research, and participation does not guarantee ranking. All our rankings and listings are subject to change each year. Read more about our methodology here.
IP STARS is the leading specialist guide to IP law firms and practitioners worldwide. The guide is an exclusive rankings publication: we do not rank all firms and individuals offering IP services.
Managing IP published its first legal directory in 1994 and rebranded it as IP STARS in 2013. The research for the guide covers a variety of IP practice areas and more than 70 jurisdictions, making it the most comprehensive and widely respected rankings publication in the IP industry. The IP STARS rankings are based on a weighted evaluation of information from different sources, including work data submitted by firms, independent research findings, and market feedback.
