Managing IP's Top 250 Women in IP

This special publication, which we launched in 2013, recognises some of the senior female IP practitioners in private practice who have performed exceptionally for their clients and firms in the past year. The 2024 edition is based on research information available between September 2023 and February 2024.

This year’s list features more than 50 jurisdictions across the world. The full list is available on managingip.com, where you can also read our analysis of this year's rankings, including the top firms and jurisdictions. Below, you will see some of the firms featured this year and a summary of our research methodology.

We know there are other senior practitioners who can be considered for the MIP Top 250 Women in IP publication. If you have questions, feedback or suggestions, please send them to our research team, and we will consider them next year.

Readers should also note that this list is just one part of Managing IP's coverage of women in the IP profession; learn more about our coverage at the bottom of this page.

Congratulations to all the practitioners ranked this year.

Methodology

The practitioners recognised in this publication are selected from our IP Stars list for the year. These individuals are senior practitioners, especially at partner level, in their firms. When deciding who to select for the Top 250 Women in IP publication, our research analysts took account of all the available research information, especially data from firm questionnaire and surveys, obtained for the IP STARS rankings and Managing IP Awards programme. Read about the research process here. They can also select an individual based on their own independent research findings.

There is no special form or survey for individuals to complete in order to be considered for this publication. There is no fee to pay to participate in our research. No firm or practitioner can pay to be ranked. All our rankings are subject to change each year. See the 2023 list here.

Managing IP and women in IP

Managing IP has a long and proud history of supporting diversity in the IP profession.

Apart from reporting on important news and providing insights, Managing IP has also used its platforms and position in the industry to promote and showcase diverse talent in the IP community. For example, Managing IP has hosted or supported events for women in IP and business law since 2011 and supported the creation of IP Inclusive, the UK's leading diversity initiative for the IP profession.

In April 2023, Managing IP launched Women Founders list, a publication dedicated to highlighting the intellectual property firms that were founded or co-founded by women. We know there are more firms that can be listed; please contact our research team here if you have suggestions for this list.
