Stewart Cameron is the founding Director of Cameron Intellectual Property, having founded the firm in Glasgow in 2011.

He is a qualified UK and European Patent Attorney, and specialises in the engineering field, in particular electromechanical and aeronautical engineering.

His IP specialties include drafting patent applications, prosecuting patent applications before the UKIPO and EPO and providing patentability and infringement searches and advice.

He is also a qualified IP Patent Litigator and further specialises in providing representation and advice in contentious matters.

Stewart works with a wide range of clients worldwide and regularly visits the firm’s clients and associates in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australasia, as well as across the UK.

He has recently spoken at IP industry events in the USA for organisations including Atlanta Bar, Cincy IP, Cleveland IP Association, Kentucky IP Association and Philadelphia IP Law Association.

He has Director responsibility for overseeing the Operations side of the business and enjoys focusing on how he can make the business function in the most efficient and effective way for its clients.

Key focuses of his Operations role have included introducing an ISO 9001 certified quality management system within the business, streamlining billing procedures and implementing sustainable business practices, aiming to contribute towards the Net Zero economy.

Stewart also sits on the firm’s Executive and Operations Boards.

Clients comment that Stewart’s advice is always relevant and matched to their overall objectives and budgets, and that he is excellent at distilling complex legal issues into an easily understandable form.

Outside of work, he is a qualified pilot and likes to use his licence from time to time! He is also a runner, cyclist and occasion golfer. A recent achievement was completing the Ride Across Britain from Land's End to John O'Groats.
