Erika O'Donnell

Erika O'Donnell is a Senior Associate in Bird & Bird's Life Sciences and Healthcare Group in Dublin, with a particular focus on IP litigation and regulation.

She has represented clients in multi-jurisdictional and complex IP disputes before the Irish Courts, and has been involved in several landmark cases that have shaped the development of IP law and practice in Ireland, including proceedings that changed the test for the award of preliminary injunctions and, notably, the first post-Brexit case in which the Irish Court awarded a pan-European injunction.

In addition to her contentious IP practice, Erika has broad experience in commercial and regulatory matters in the life sciences sector. She regularly advises clients on all aspects of product regulatory law, including bringing products to market and the regulation of medicinal products and devices in Ireland and the EU.
