Noor will be joining as partner from Simmons & Simmons. She is one of the leading practitioners for patent litigation and advisory work in the life sciences sector in the UK. Noor's arrival increases the number of IP Stars (2016) in Allen & Overy’s London team which includes Nicola Dagg, Neville Cordell and Mark Ridgway. Dagg and Noor were also listed in the Top 250 Women in IP (2016).
The intention behind this move was stated in Allen & Overy's press release. “The appointment will also allow the A&O team to fully take advantage of the opportunities presented by the Unified Patent Court (UPC),” the firm said.
Allen & Overy and Simmons & Simmons are ranked in the top-tier for patent litigation in the UK in IP Stars (2016).
