The firm announced that it advised the New Jersey-headquartered company Campbell Soup Company on the sale of Arnott’s Biscuits and some divisions in its international portfolio to private equity firm KKR for $2.2 billion USD.

According to Campbell's press release, both parties "will enter into a long-term licensing arrangement for the exclusive rights to use certain Campbell brands, including Campbell’s, Swanson, V8, Prego, Chunky and Campbell’s Real Stock, in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and other select markets in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa".

KWM's lawyers on the deal include IP partner Cate Nagy and IP associate Vineetha Veerakumar; they worked alongside lawyers from Weil Gotshal & Manges. We understand lawyers from Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and Allens (including Andrew Wiseman) advised KKR.
