Robert Walton

Rob Walton is a partner and patent attorney at HGF. He joined the firm in 2014 and advises clients on the protection, prosecution and enforcement of patent rights across a range of technical sectors.

With a background in mechanical engineering and advanced energy technologies, Walton works with clients ranging from innovative start-ups to established multinational businesses. His practice covers patent drafting and prosecution, portfolio management and contentious patent matters.
Walton holds a first-class MEng in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD focused on nuclear batteries, both from the University of Birmingham. His technical expertise supports clients operating in sectors including consumer products, medical devices, FMCG, tobacco and industrial technologies.
