Lee Miles is a Partner in FB Rice’s Sydney biotechnology team. He advises clients on a broad range of intellectual property matters, including IP strategy and counselling, drafting and prosecuting patent applications, managing global patent portfolios, and providing patentability, validity and freedom-to-operate advice. Lee works closely with clients to develop commercially aligned strategies that support the protection and growth of their innovations.
With a broad background in biological sciences, Lee has experience across a range of life sciences technologies, including genetics and genomics, gene silencing and editing, cloning and expression, antibodies and immunology, gene therapy, diagnostics and vaccine development. He also has a particular interest in the AgTech sector, including plant breeder’s rights.
In recognition of his client service and professional expertise, Lee has been named a Rising Star by Managing IP each year since 2018.
