Alana Hannah (née Gibson)

Alana Hannah is a Senior Associate in FB Rice’s Sydney engineering team. She has experience drafting and prosecuting patents and designs across a broad range of technology fields, including physics, photonics and software technologies, with particular expertise in defence and security, data processing, mining, quantum computing and photonics.

Alana holds technical qualifications in physics and computing and brings a detail-oriented, analytical approach to her work. She assists clients in managing global patent and design portfolios and developing effective strategies to protect their innovations.

In recognition of her client service and professional excellence, Alana has been named a Rising Star by Managing IP each year since 2023.
