Overview

Meissner Bolte has a strong IP protection and management practice. The firm has experienced patent attorneys to deal with work in fields such as engineering, computer technology, and chemistry. Its merger with Würtenberger Rechtsanwälte in January 2022 strengthened its trade mark practice and added a plant variety practice to its offering.

Trade mark

Case studies show a wide range of trade mark work, including clearance, filing and disputes. Clients include ACO Severin Ahlmann, Bestway Inflatables & Material Corp, Cesra Arzneimittel, and Cybex. Trade mark and plant variety guru Gert Würtenberger serves as consultant.

Patent

Case studies show patent protection and portfolio management as well as national and UPC litigation work. Clients include Brita, Danpoort International Abrasives, 42 life sciences, Bdtronic, and Beko. Veteran patent litigator Michael Nieder is now a consultant in the firm. The team can also consult former patent court judge Rainer Engels and former EPO judge Hans-Peter Felgenhauer.

There were positive developments in the firm in 2024. The firm launched new offices in Düsseldorf and Ludwigshafen and established a Brazilian desk led by Tobias Popp and Karin Grau Kuntz.
