Luiz Leonardos & Advogados is one of the most traditional IP boutiques in Brazil thanks to its heritage. The firm was part of Momsen, Leonardos & Cia, which was founded in 1919, until name partner Luiz Leonardos left to set up this firm. Leonardos is a time-honoured member of Brazil’s IP law community. He was a member of the Brazilian delegation at the 1967 IP conference in Stockholm that established the World International Property Organization and his team continues to be at the centre of IP developments. They are involved in the latest pilot project agreements between Brazilian and US authorities for cooperation on patents in the oil and gas industry, for example.
