This year’s publication is based on the information obtained during the research period for the 2018 edition of IP STARS (September 2017 to February 2018). Rising stars typically have less than 10 years post-qualification experience but individuals with over 10 years of experience may also be considered. The Rising Stars publication complements our annual Corporate IP Stars list (for in-house IP practitioners) and Top 250 Women in IP list (the leading female IP practitioners in private practice). There may be individuals in this edition who have left their firms or who were promoted to partner after they were selected for listing. The IP practice profiles and updates on listed practitioners and firms are made available on this website. Please note that some firms have more rising stars than others, and a firm’s ranking in IP STARS is irrelevant. This publication is subject to change each year. IP STARS research is conducted rigorously and impartially. No firm or individual can pay to be ranked or to influence the results. There is no fee to participate in the research. More information about our research and methodology can be found here.
