David Wilkinson joined Clyde & Co as partner and head of its IP practice in the UK. Previously, he was head of IP at Stevens & Bolton. Wilkinson has over 20 years’ experience in IP disputes and transactions.

Collyer Bristow

Karen Fong is now a partner in the London-based firm Collyer Bristow. Fong joined from international IP firm Rouse Legal, where she was partner for more than a decade. She is qualified in the UK, Singapore and Hong Kong, and is an accredited mediator (CEDR) on WIPO’s Panel of Neutrals.

Eversheds

Deon de Beer has joined Eversheds as partner in its Johannesburg office in South Africa. De Beer was previously a founding partner of Dessington de Beer. He is a patent attorney with experience in a number of technical fields including metallurgical, material science, mechanical and electrical inventions.

Fish & Richardson

Herbert Kunz joined Fish & Richardson as managing principal of its Munich office. Kunz is a European and German patent attorney who is also qualified to advise clients at the Federal Supreme Court in nullity proceedings. He is an honorary judge of the Social Court (Munich).

Simmons & Simmons

Simmons & Simmons hired Mark Heaney as partner in its IP/TMT practice group. He is based in the firm’s London office. Heaney was formerly a partner at Baker Botts, and, before that, Bird and Bird. He is renowned for handling contentious patent matters, particularly in the fields of electronics and telecommunications.
