Allen & Overy
This firm’s latest round of partner promotions saw Frits Gerritzen, who is based in Amsterdam, and Peter Van Dyck, in Brussels, promoted. Gerritzen is an IP litigator who specialises in patent disputes, while Dyck advises on soft IP and technology-related matters.

CMS, Olswang and Nabarro
These three firms officially completed their merger this month under the new name CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang. Still in the new firm are IP Stars such as Tom Scourfield, Sarah Wright, Guy Heath and Joel Barry.

D Young & Co
This firm has strengthened in Germany with the appointment of IP litigator Uli Foerstl as partner in its Munich office. Foerstl was formerly a partner in Olswang’s IP group in Munich. He and Hanns-Juergen Grosse, who joined earlier this year, will lead the firm’s operations in Germany.

HGF
The firm recruited patent attorney Craig Thomson as partner in its Glasgow office. Thomson, who joined from IP firm Murgitroyd, is known for advising companies in the life science and chemical industries.  The firm also recently announced five partner promotions including trade mark attorney Richard Wylie and patent attorney Andy Camenisch, both of whom trained at the firm.

Withers & Rogers
This firm promoted patent attorney Russell Edson to partner in its advanced engineering practice group. Edson prosecutes patents in mechanical technology areas including oil & gas, marine and automotive.

Latest people moves in Asia
