Dentons hires IP Star in Berlin
The firm has continued to grow its IP practice in Europe with the recent hire of IP Star Stefan Dittmer in its Berlin office. Dittmer is a well-known lawyer who advises on IP matters in the TMT sector. He was formerly a partner at DLA Piper. Dittmer brought along colleagues such as Fabian Hollwitz.
Baker Botts gets special counsel
The firm hired Clive Thorne as special Counsel in its IP department in London. Thorne has over 20 years experience in IP practice and joins from Wedlake Bell, where he was partner. In the past he worked for firms such as RPC and Arnold & Porter (now Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer).
Mayer Brown welcomes new IP partner in Germany
Christoph Crützen joined as partner in the firm’s IP practice. He particularly advises on patent disputes in technical fields such as automotive and life sciences. He will be based in the Düsseldorf office. Crützen was previously a partner at Clifford Chance.
New IP partner at SIPS
The Hong Kong-based IP firm announced that Bo Yu has joined the firm as partner this month. Yu’s practice focuses on trade mark contentious and prosecution work. Yu joins from Baker McKenzie in Hong Kong.
Seyfarth Shaw adds another IP litigator
The firm welcomed IP litigator Jamaica Szeliga as partner in its litigation department in Washington D.C. Prior to joining, Szeliga was a lawyer at boutique firm Leydig Voit & Mayer. She primarily advises on patent disputes, especially in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. This news follows the arrival of a team of IP practitioners from Fanelli Haag last October.
Grau & Angulo strengthens IP team
The firm recruited Ignacio Marqués as associate lawyer in its office in Barcelona. Marqués was previously a director in the IP department of Baker McKenzie. He advises on contentious and non-contentious IP matters.
