Research timeline

August: We will send out an email with details on how to participate in the research for the next edition 
September 1: We start accepting firm submissions and conducting research including firm interviews and surveys
October 31: Firm questionnaire and client referees submission deadline*
November: We will start obtaining feedback from clients
February: We start publishing the results
July: End of the research for the current year's edition.

*Any deadline that falls on a Saturday or Sunday is automatically extended to Monday.

Firms should start preparing now by collating IP case studies and developments. 

Please note that it is likely that we may send this invitation email to one of the IP partners and/or the marketing/BD team at your firm so please check with them first before contacting us. If your firm is not ranked and you would like to participate in our research please register your interest here

About IP STARS research

Results publication

We start publishing the results from February. However, this does not mean that we have stopped conducting research.

The firm rankings are published in the Managing IP magazine and thereafter on this website. Managing IP will also publish the shortlists for the Managing IP Awards. 

Firms and individuals will be informed about the awards and rankings. Keep up to date with our research and results publication by following us on social media (Twitter and LinkedIn) and regularly checking our news page (here) or sign up to our newsletter.
