Theresa Mak

With over 15 years of industry experience, she possesses deep expertise in Hong Kong IP issues, collaborating with multinational corporations and startups on trade mark filing, prosecution, and various IP matters. 

Theresa holds degrees from universities in both the United Kingdom and Hong Kong and began her career as a litigation solicitor at a local law firm before moving to the Intellectual Property Department of the Hong Kong Government. 

Apart from trade marks and branding issues, Theresa also works with advertising agencies and brand owners on marketing, advertising, commercial IP matters, covering areas such as social media, and traditional advertising platforms. 

A Council Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Trade Mark Practitioners, Theresa actively engages with the industry and government on IP policies and legislation.
