He is a European Patent Attorney, a Dutch Patent Attorney, and a Representative before the Unified Patent Court, with more than 22 years of experience helping innovative companies protect and maximize the value of their intellectual property.
Steven's practice focuses primarily on patent drafting and prosecution, international portfolio management, freedom-to-operate analyses, validity assessments, and strategic IP counselling. In addition to acting as external patent counsel, he frequently serves as a trusted strategic adviser to technology companies, supporting management and R&D teams in developing intellectual property strategies that align with commercial objectives and long-term innovation.
His technical expertise spans a broad range of technologies, including telecommunications, optical networking, electronics, semiconductors, MEMS, artificial intelligence, software, robotics, mechanical engineering, renewable energy, offshore technologies, and advanced industrial systems.
