Steen is a European Patent Attorney with a M.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the Technical University of Denmark.
He mainly handles intellectual property matters within the fields of organic chemistry, biotechnology, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, and food technology. In addition, he holds the position as CEO at Budde Schou.
With more than 20 years of experience, Steen is an expert on strategy and patent prosecution worldwide and he is driven by helping companies benefitting from their intellectual property rights in ways which improve their market position.
Steen also provides assistance in litigation, oppositions, administrative re-examination, and other patent related conflicts.
Honorary office: Court-appointed expert in cases related to patent infringement and/or the validity of patents.
Expert judge appointed by the Danish Maritime and Commercial Court and the Eastern Division of the High Court.
