Lin is a Senior Counsel in the Middle East Intellectual Property Group, based in Dubai, with over 25 years' experience in the protection and enforcement of IP rights across the region and internationally.

Lin advises clients on all aspects of protecting and maximising the value of their IP assets in the Middle East and beyond. Her broad practice encompasses IP portfolio management, advising on global rebrands, and developing tailored filing strategies, including use of the Madrid Protocol. She manages domestic and cross-border IP disputes and litigation matters, devises worldwide enforcement strategies, and provides strategic counsel on complex IP transactions and acquisitions.

Over the course of her career, Lin has assisted a wide range of clients — from early-stage startups to
multinational corporations — across all industry sectors. Her specialist areas of expertise include automotive, aviation, FMCG, retail and consumer goods, hospitality, pharmaceutical, and technology. This breadth of sector experience gives her a nuanced understanding of the unique IP challenges and commercial priorities that arise in each industry.

Before joining the firm in 2015, and again upon re-joining in 2023, Lin gained extensive experience at leading international law firms and boutique IP practices in the UAE, United Kingdom, United States, and Ireland. Working across these jurisdictions gave her a strong multi-jurisdictional perspective and a deep understanding of IP frameworks across both common law and civil law systems — experience she draws upon in every matter she handles.

Lin is widely regarded as a trusted and pragmatic adviser to businesses seeking to protect and enforce their most valuable IP assets in the Middle East and in global markets.
