Giovanni’s practice has been exclusively dedicated to Intellectual Property law for 30+ years.
In January 2026 he joined GA Alliance as Partner at the IP department. He has also previously acted as the Partner of the IP department in EY and Dentons, Managing Partner of Italian branch of Bardehle Pagenberg and as Head of IP - Clifford Chance in Italy.
Giovanni is also very active in the education of the next generation of IP professionals as a specialist IP lecturer and Co-Director of courses at the University Politecnico Milan - of note the UPC European Patent Litigation Course.
He is member of IPR Helpdesk China (since 2006), IPR2, and IPKeys - involved in studies and training initiatives in Europe and China.
Giovanni is the Republic of San Marino's external advisor for IP issues - and contributed to the adoption of their IP Code (2005) and currently involved in the new drafting of the Intellectual Property Code.
