She is also experienced in supporting clients and working as part of a legal team with solicitors and counsel in High Court proceedings. In 2010 she was part of the team who ran a very large and commercially important International Trade Mark infringement case for a large client of the firm. Emma also advises in connection with copyright disputes for various clients. She is experienced in working with Trading Standards and Customs in counterfeit cases. She has a significant background in running multiple Trade Mark and domain name infringement cases and sizeable international brand management programmes.
She is well used to running cases before foreign registries and courts using local trusted attorneys with whom she, and the firm, have long standing relationships. Emma has particular experience in conducting matters in the USA and in Asia, where she has helped the firm build a trade mark practice in India in particular, and is working to build the firm’s presence in wider Asia – where she is targeting the Singaporean, Malaysian, Australasia and Far Eastern markets. The firm already has significant contacts in this area of the world and a great deal of experience in working with local attorneys to achieve clients’ aims.
Emma also undertakes a great deal of pro bono work for a leading UK based military charity, and for the 30% club.
