Vida heads the Intellectual Property Department of SyCipLaw. Her practice area includes, among others, the management, prosecution, and enforcement of intellectual property rights. She also provides regulatory advice on food, beverage, and pharmaceutical products.
She has been cited by Chambers Asia Pacific and recognized by the Legal 500 Asia Pacific as a highly recommended and leading lawyer in intellectual property. Asia Law has ranked her as a distinguished IP Practitioner. Vida is ranked as a Litigation Star and one of the top 100 Women in Litigation by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific for her intellectual property practice. She was also recognized as one of the top 250 women in IP by Managing Intellectual Property.
Vida regularly advises and provides services to a diverse international clientele including well-known fashion and apparel brands, luxury goods companies, leading technology companies, and major pharmaceutical companies. She has successfully represented intellectual property owners and stakeholders in various negotiations and proceedings, which prevented the registration and, in certain instances use, of infringing third party trademarks. She counsels clients regarding domain name issues as well as copyright and trademark issues in social media. She has headed enforcement campaigns for clients in various industries.
She serves as the President and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Licensing Executives Society Philippines. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines.
She is a member of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, and the International Trademark Association.
She has contributed to legal publications, including the Philippine section of The International Comparative Legal Guide to: Trademarks, Copyright and Patents, IP Asia, and World Trademark Law.
