Verena von Bomhard has been involved with EUTMs from the very beginning, having been based in Alicante since early 1996.
She has extensive experience in all matters relating to prosecution and enforcement of EU trademarks and designs, in handling proceedings before the EU courts in Luxembourg, in multijurisdictional trademark clearance, portfolio management, as well as advising on complex IP conflicts in the EU.
She is a frequent author on issues of EU trademark and design law and co-editor of two leading commentaries including the Concise European Trade Mark and Design Law commentary of Wolters Kluwer (3rd ed. 2018, with Alexander von Mühlendahl). She also teaches EU trademark law in two Master programs.
Verena is a member of INTA’s Trademark Reporter Committee following numerous other engagements at INTA (including being on the Board of Directors and co-chairing an Annual Meeting), and of the Committee of Experts for trademark and competition law of the German association GRUR. She has been an IP Stars since at least 2014.
Apart from her native German, Verena is fluent in English and Spanish and can read French and Italian. Verena also enjoys life beyond trademarks.
