Norman began his career in intellectual property at Fractus, a Barcelona-based company highly known for their innovative antennas for mobile phones and base stations, and their successful patent portfolio and litigation strategy. During his two and a half years there, he managed part of the extensive patent portfolio by actively drafting and prosecuting patent applications, and contributed to litigation efforts by preparing claim charts and infringement analyses.

In 2015, he joined the electro-mechanical patent department of a Spanish IP firm, where he worked for seven years and handled hundreds of patent applications. With a background in telecommunications and aeronautics, Norman specialized in computer-implemented inventions and played a crucial role in developing the patent portfolios, especially around software/computer-implemented inventions for prominent companies.

In 2022, Norman became a partner at Elion, leading the Engineering and Software Patent department, where he continues developing patent portfolios for companies. In addition to his work in patent drafting and prosecution, he provides patentability, validity, infringement, and freedom-to-operate analyses, as well as post-grant proceedings, also acting as technical expert in Spanish Courts.

His primary areas of practice encompass MedTech, computer-implemented inventions, including AI, Industry 4.0, and renewable energy. He has large US patent practice experience.
