Marina Perraki proudly stands at the intersection between Intellectual property strategy, covering all forms of commercial activities, and Intellectual property system, working with legislative bodies in the drafting of laws that drive IP and IP rights alignment with technological innovations and commercial realities.

Holding a PhD in trademark law from Queen Mary University, UK she leads an elitist group of IP intellectual first-rates in the Greek market and she is the go-to advisor in legally complex IP matters.

Marina joined T&P in 2002 and has since evolved as one of the market’s leading advisors providing clients with commercially significant advice regarding the impact of the IP laws on their businesses.

She practices in all areas of intellectual property law with particular emphasis on trademark, designs and domain names as well as trade mark litigation.

She has litigated dozens of cases and disputes and has briefed and argued numerous appeals and cassations before the Greek Supreme Court. She has successfully represented parties in high-stakes trademark litigation.

Marina is the only Greek practitioner serving as WIPO panelist for UDRP and domain name disputes. She is currently Vice-Chair of the INTA International Amicus Committee, and has served as Chair of the INTA International Amicus Committee – Europe Subcommittee (2020-2021) and INTA Famous & Well - Known Marks Committee - Europe Subcommittee (2014-2015).

During her tenure as Chair of the Europe Amicus Committee of INTA she lead and drafted numerous amicus submissions that were filed before the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) and the Grand Board of Appeal of the EUIPO.

Under her leadership, the Europe Subcommittee of INTA filed the largest number of amicus filings ever filed in Europe during a committee term (https://www.inta.org/intas-europe-amicus-subcommittee-marks-unprecedented-number-of-submissions/) and also filed the first time ever amicus brief before the Grand BoA of the EUIPO (More Info Here). This was the first time an amicus brief was ever filed before the Grand Board of the EUIPO by any user’s association.

Marina is fluent in four languages (English, German, French and German).

Marina is also active in the field of commercial mediation and has been one of the first commercial mediators in Greece. She holds a CIArb (UK) mediator’s accreditation and Greek Justice Department accreditation on commercial mediation; she is also listed as mediator in the German-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, the Athens Chamber of Commerce and WIPO/INTA Panel of Trademark Mediators.
