Kevin Siu is a creative and practical advocate who represents clients in all manner of intellectual property disputes. Kevin has worked with numerous clients in the pharmaceutical and technology sectors on some of Canada’s most significant patent and copyright cases. Kevin regularly appears in the Federal Court of Canada and is equally comfortable making submissions in court or working out solutions in a boardroom.
Kevin’s litigation work is supported by an understanding of business, having gained industry experience as an intern at an engineering consulting firm and at a start-up company as a software developer. Kevin is a registered Trademark Agent and also has experience in drafting patents, obtaining trademark registrations, and negotiating licensing agreements.
During law school, Kevin won awards at the Oxford International Intellectual Property Moot and the Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Moot. He also honed his advocacy and leadership skills during his undergraduate days as the President of the University of Toronto Engineering Society.Key IP Areas:
