I have many years of experience managing a department which files and obtains patent protection in Europe. We have particular expertise coordinating SPC filing programs. I am experienced litigating in over 20 jurisdictions, in 10 of which I have litigated up to Supreme Court level, many of which have created fundamental case law, particularly four SPC cases at the CJEU, the leading Irish case on preliminary injunctions and the leading Dutch case on contributory infringement and second medical use patents. My litigation work has regularly involved running parallel cases in multiple European jurisdictions. I am very involved in IP policy issues in the UK and the EU via IP Federation and EFPIA, especially on SPCs, regulatory data protection, compulsory licences, free trade agreements and substantive patent law harmonisation. I practice orally before the EPO and am also qualified as a European Patent Litigator before the Unified Patent Court.
