Isabel has over 25 of experience in the field of IP. Before founding Elion, she worked at four prominent Spanish IP firms, with a seven-year tenure as a Partner in one of the firms, and a role as Deputy Manager of the Patent Department in another of the firms.
Isabel has ample experience in all patent related work, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications, delivering expert opinions on patentability, infringement, validity, and freedom to operate. She has also experience in design protection.
Over the past eight years, she has engaged in numerous opposition proceedings at the European Patent Office for a German-based international company, where she also served as part-time in-house patent attorney in the field of electronic access systems.
Additionally, she has actively participated and is still currently involved in litigation matters, offering her expertise as an expert witness in patent/utility model and design cases before the Spanish Courts. Only in the last 3 years she has been involved as technical experts in more than 10 cases.
Her primary areas of practice encompass general electronics, computer-implemented inventions, home surveillance systems and MedTech, especially in the field of visual optics and ocular imaging.
Isabel is also a full member of the Professional Education Committee of the epi, representing Spain.
