Fredrik Almaas

Fredrik is a Senior Associate at Abion, Norway. His areas of expertise include global trademark portfolio management, negotiations, mediation/arbitration, IP audits and strategy, and all matters of trade mark prosecution, such as opposition and cancellation proceedings in both Norway and EU. He has worked with all types of cases within trademark law before the EUIPO for several years, and has completed a one-year education program for legal practitioners at the EUIPO (ETMD EP for practitioners).

Fredrik have been working in the IP field for 15 years, a career that includes the Norwegian Industrial Property Office, the Board of Appeal, the Mediation Board for Employee inventions and Acapo-Onsagers, before joining Abion in 2024. He has also been an examiner and supervisor for IP subjects at the Faculty of Law in Bergen for over 10 years.
