Emily is a lawyer and registered New Zealand and Australian trade mark attorney with over 20 years of experience in the intellectual property profession.  She is a member of NZIPA (New Zealand Institute of Patent Attorneys), and IPSANZ (Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand).

Emily’s career includes working in London and France, as well as in New Zealand, and Emily has been recognised as a WTR 1000 recommended expert for trade mark practice in New Zealand and as an IP Star 2019 for trade marks.

Emily works closely with her clients to first understand their businesses and then find a solution to their branding issues which best suits their requirements.  Emily provides a full-service approach to her trade mark clients, assisting at all stages from brand selection, trade mark clearance searching, protection of trade marks, and portfolio management as well as managing a significant level of contentious work.

Emily has developed significant international networks and strong relationships with experienced and trustworthy professionals in key regions throughout the world.  Emily continues to maintain strong connections with the international trade mark profession through membership and attendance at conferences operated by INTA (International Trade Mark Association), Marques, and PTMG (Pharmaceutical Trade Mark Group).
