Eddie Chiu

Eddie is a senior associate at Bird & Bird based in the UAE with in-house experience in tourism & leisure, and consumer discretionary retail sectors.

In 2009, he was admitted as a legal practitioner in Queensland, Australia and has predominantly worked in the food & beverage industry advising on matters relating to: international franchising; supply chain, food manufacturing & logistics; intellectual property; and trademark protection.

Eddie is also experienced in advising on corporate responses and regulatory affairs, such as responding to notices from regulatory bodies and making submissions to inquiries and public consultations.

Prior to joining Bird & Bird, Eddie spent several years working in-house in a publicly listed Australian based multi-national food & beverage retail franchisor. More recently, he has worked in-house in the tourism & leisure sector.
