Chris works with a wide variety of clients, ranging from individual inventors and startups to large technology companies. He strives to understand each client’s business, technology, competitive landscape and overarching objectives to guide IP strategies and portfolio development.

Chris’s experience covers a broad range of technologies and business sectors, including logistics, energy, medical device, crypto and blockchain, consumer products, in-store and online shopping, cybersecurity, mobile devices, computer software and hardware, smart home, internet of things (IoT), telecommunications and more. Chris is adept at quickly learning new and complex technology to truly understand, appreciate and engage with clients on their IP issues.

While Chris’ practice covers virtually all areas of IP, including patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets, he has an emphasis on patents, including patent portfolio development and management, patent prosecution, due diligence and freedom to operate investigations, and patent invalidity proceedings before the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeals Board. He counsels and assists clients with IP portfolio development in the U.S. and abroad and also provides technical assistance in patent litigation matters.

Chris has a background in computer science and previously worked as a software developer for several years before becoming an attorney.
