Charlotte Montaud is Head of Plasseraud IP Contracts & Valuation, French and European Trademark and Design Attorney.
As an expert in contract engineering, Charlotte assists SMEs, start-ups, large groups and research institutions in their agreements related to R&D and valuation of IP rights, as well as the pre-litigation, the follow-up of litigation and the settlement of disputes.
She supports clients in negotiating, drafting or reviewing all IP-related contracts in the light of their objectives, providing them not only with legal expertise, but also with the commercial and technical vision thanks to her close internal collaboration with engineers.
More particularly, she is used to assist clients with contractual documents including co-operation or consortium agreements, NDAs, letters of intent, asset transfer agreements, MOUs, licensing agreements, technology transfer agreements, assignments, co-ownership agreements, agreements for services, as well as clauses for incorporation in shareholder agreements or employment contracts, etc.
She started her career as a lawyer in patent litigation and has today more than 15 years of experience in IP law firms. She is President of the Contracts subcommittee of the CNCPI (a legally-established organization that represents all French Patent & Trademark Attorneys) and a member of professional committees, contributes to many conferences, webinars and publications about contract engineering in France and abroad and is raising awareness in the field of IP contracts. She also teaches IP agreements for students and members of competitiveness clusters.
Charlotte joined Plasseraud IP in 2018.
