Anton has nearly 25 years of professional experience. He is a highly reputed expert in patent litigation and one of the attorneys with the most appearances before the Federal Court of Justice, the highest German court in patent proceedings. Of course, Anton is also a registered Unified Patent Court (UPC) representative since the opening of the new court in June 2023.
Anton has been recognized as a recommended patent attorney by various legal publications and handbooks. Clients value him because he is able to structure and plan complex cases in a professional manner and always comes up with creative ideas and recommendations.
He is also head of the global "Patent Law" practice group of the World Services Group (WSG) with more than 50 experienced patent litigators attorneys all over the world. He speaks four European languages (German, English, Spanish and Italian) and understands French. He has been involved in many patent court cases in Europe and beyond. He is also an expert on issues related to artificial intelligence (AI) and regularly gives lectures on this topic.
Anton is a partner at HEUKING and the head of the patent law team. In the year 2006, he was among the first lawyers to receive the distinction as a Certified Specialist Lawyer in Intellectual Property Law. Since then, he has been also one of the three members of the corresponding examination committee of the Düsseldorf Bar Association, making him the only member being re-appointed ever since.
