Ananyaa Banerjee, Associate Partner at S.S. Rana, is a part of the IP team for 8 years now and currently leads the firm’s Opposition Team. Having experience in the field of IP prosecution and enforcement, she assists on various contentious and non-contentious IP matters including trademark and copyright oppositions and cancellations and providing legal opinions related to prosecution and enforcement. She has an experience of handling matters with the Trade Marks Registry and the Intellectual Property Appellate Board.
With her experience in the field of IP prosecution and enforcement actions, she is handling complex trademark enforcement cases for a number of Fortune 500 companies in India, the SAARC Countries, the European Union, Asian nations amongst other jurisdictions.
Ananyaa has a robust experience of handling more than 1000 opposition matters for clients before the Trademarks Registry as well as appeared in Cancellation Proceedings against Trademarks before IP Division Bench of High Court of Delhi.
She is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA), International Trademark Association (INTA), Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group (PTMG) and Marques and has attended international conferences.
