2004: Accreditation as attorney at law
Dr. Thünken operates in the fields of trademark law, registered designs, and unfair competition. His work encompasses all proceedings before German courts as well as before the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, the Federal Patent Court, the EUIPO, and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva. Before coming to Uexküll & Stolberg in 2007, he worked for a prestigious law firm in Hamburg, where he also gained experience in general business law and in corporate law.
Dr. Thünken studied law in Heidelberg, Saarbrücken, Madrid, Cologne, and London. In 2003, he completed his doctorate in law (Dr. jur., summa cum laude). He also has an LLM postgraduate degree (with distinction) from King’s College, London. In 2011, he qualified as a Certified Attorney for Intellectual Property Rights.
