Xingye is a qualified UK Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney, and has particular knowledge of the Chinese patent system. She has a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Pharmacy. Xingye's main research area was in analytical bioscience, in particular in qualitative and quantitative analytical technologies including MS, HPLC and CE. She also has work experience in an engineering consultant company specialised in renewable energy and gearbox drivetrain designs.
Prior to joining Plasseraud IP, Xingye worked for over 10 years in a leading UK private practice, with clients from the UK and abroad, mainly in the field of industrial chemistry, bioscience, pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering, and polymer chemistry. She is experienced in all aspects of patent prosecution at the EPO and the UKIPO, and frequently advises clients on matters from drafting to prosecution, foreign filings, opposition, freedom to operate, and due diligence.
Xingye is fluent in Mandarin and English.
Xingye is a registered representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC), which became operational on 1 June 2023.
