Natalie is a Local Principal at Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow's Intellectual Property & Technology (IPTech) practice group.

She represents local and international clients in intellectual property (IP) & technology-related matters. Fluent in both non-contentious and contentious matters across a range of industries, Natalie’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial work; matters relating to the exploitation, management and enforcement of IP rights; data protection & cybersecurity issues; advertising, marketing & regulatory work; and civil & criminal IP disputes.

Natalie provides strategic and practical advice to clients on commercial issues relating to IP licensing; franchising; due diligence; audits; valuation; and brand management.

She also assists clients with civil litigation in respect of all forms of IP infringement; private criminal prosecutions in respect of IP and IP-related offences; and IP / IP-related arbitration.

Natalie has acted as lead and assisting counsel in numerous trials and hearings before arbitral tribunals and all levels of the Singapore courts.

  • Represented a leading pharmaceutical company in a transaction involving the licensing of its IP for commercialisation, development and manufacturing in China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
  • Advised the producer of an award-winning film on IP ownership, licensing commercialization issues relating to various copyrighted works in the film.
  • Represented rights holders in applications for site-blocking orders under the Singapore Copyright Act, including continuing landmark proceedings under which the first ever “dynamic injunction” under the Copyright Act was granted.
  • Advised various multinational clients in the digital entertainment and media space on online content regulations, intermediary liability and availability of safe harbour protections.
  • Represented a leading mobile device manufacturer in an arbitration involving the licensing of Standard Essential Patents.
