Mustafa is Deputy Director General of Grup Ofis and has over 20 years of expertise in IP Prosecution/Litigation services. He is former Head of TURKPATENT Trademark Department and he has contributed IP ecosystem in various decisive positions as Member of Board of Appeal, Special Consultant for Cabinet nationally and as Member Of Decision Quality Control and Guideline Amendment Teams before EUIPO internationally. He has extensive knowledge and insight on the IP Code’s Prosecution and in fact, in 2016 he was a member of the comission established for the preparation of the current Turkish IP Code, which entered into force on 10 January 2017.
During his tenure at the TURKPATENT, he played a key role in the preparation of multiple trademark review guides, including the one currently referenced by the institution in administrative processes. Benefiting from his extensive level of understanding of IP on national and international levels, he is currently consulting clients in all complex IP matters related with desings, trademarks and patents– including prosecution, litigation, unfair competition and establishment of IP strategy, including clearences, applications – in a range of actions in Turkey and overseas. Mustafa is based in our Ankara Office.
