Magdalena Maksimowska graduated from the Faculty of Law at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, and postgraduate studies in industrial property law at the University of Warsaw. She is a qualified patent attorney and attorney for trademarks and industrial designs before the EUIPO. She is the partner heading the JWP Trademark and Design Department.
Magdalena Maksimowska has years of experience in the field of industrial property gained during her work at one of patent attorneys’ firms in Warsaw. She also gained experience during her traineeships in the Legal Department of a leading international FMCG company and in the European Law Department in the Office of the Committee for European Integration.
She deals with trademark and industrial design filing and litigation in domestic, EU and international procedures before the Polish Patent Office, the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the World Intellectual Property Office in Geneva (WIPO), respectively.
She advises clients from the broad range of industry sectors, specialising in gaming and FMCG industries. She provides strategic and business focused advice on protecting and managing industrial property rights portfolio. Moreover, she drafts legal opinions on the registrability of trademarks and delivers trainings on industrial property.
