Abi has experience in cancer research, as well as genetics, advanced structural biology, and complex cellular signalling. Since joining Kilburn & Strode Abi has been using her experience to deal mainly with inventions in the biotechnology/life sciences field, in particular antibodies, next generation sequencing and new medical uses for known compounds. She works with clients including multinationals, small biotech companies and universities.

Abi attended Brasenose College, University of Oxford, where in 2016 she graduated with a MBiochem (Hons) degree in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry. Her focus during her final year was on cancer biology, virology and next generation sequencing. Abi’s master’s research project at The William Dunn School of Pathology at the University of Oxford focussed on investigating the interactions of the human Notch1 receptor. This involved expression of the human proteins in a novel expression system and determination of high resolution crystal structures and furthered her interest in novel cancer research approaches.
