David Rose and Campbell Forsyth are among the prominent IP practitioners in the UK. They are the only practitioners at the firm’s UK practice listed as IP Stars (2015). The latest IP Stars research show both partners leading on various patent, trade mark and copyright matters. Non-contentious IP partner Gretchen Scott also resigned.

In a statement sent to us Stephen Kon, senior partner Europe & Middle East, said: “I would like to express our particular thanks to David who has been with the firm for 24 years and has been an outstanding partner and colleague. He leaves the firm as a friend, and with our very best wishes for his continued success.”

An IP partner at Dentons (UK) confirmed Forsyth will be joining the team. “As you can see we’ve further strengthened our IP practice,” the partner said. Rose will be joining Mishcon de Reya’s IP team. Reacting to the news, IP Star Jeremy Hertzog said: “David brings a wealth of experience in patents and trade marks. He’ll add to the strength of the existing team here.”

King & Wood Mallesons, Mishcon de Reya and Dentons are all ranked firms in IP Stars (UK)
