Each year Managing IP recognises the outstanding achievements of firms over the past year at its Global Awards dinner. The achievements considered range from significant client wins or service improvement to nurturing the wider IP community.
Award categories
At this year's dinner, various national and regional awards will be presented to firms in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe and Latin America. There will also be awards for outstanding individuals and the best in-house IP team. Most of the shortlists have been published on Managing IP.
The two new categories this year are IP Set of the Year (United Kingdom) and Scandinavia IP Firm of the Year. Also featuring, for the second consecutive year, is the Africa IP Firm of the Year.
Methodology
The shortlists have been drawn up based on the findings from the IP Stars (2016) research, which started in October last year. Firms cannot vote for their own inclusion or solicit votes from associates. No firm has paid to be shortlisted. For more information see here.
