IP STARS only list firms or individuals with a credible IP practice and recommendations from market commentators including competitors and clients. The research includes an online survey, interviews and independent analysis of all available information. The research covers over 80 jurisdictions.
For example, to produce the annual list of stars our team of research analysts surveyed thousands of IP practitioners in private practice and in-house practice, conducted interviews and vetted the information received. Read more about our methodology here
The research is impartial and rigorous. No practitioner or firm can pay to be included or solicit recommendations from colleagues or associates. Moreover, self-nominations are not considered and participation in our survey or research does not guarantee listing. Managing IP does not recommend or endorse any particular firm or individual.
