Inmaculada González is an of Counsel at BomhardIP. She has over 20 years’ experience in counseling, litigation and contractual law concerning Intellectual Property rights, including trade marks, patents, and copyright. She also has extensive experience in advising Spanish and international companies on unfair competition law, as well as on data protection and IP issues arising in the context of new technologies.

Inmaculada holds a doctorate in law from the University of Barcelona and an LL.M. from the University of Munich. During her three-year stay in Munich at the Max-Planck Institute, she was working both as a Ph.D. candidate and as a researcher at the European Patent Organization in Munich, acquiring a strong background in Spanish and German patent law, as well as in Community Design law.

In addition to numerous articles in IP journals, Inmaculada has authored a book on the protection of utility models in the European Union. She has combined her academic and professional activities for many years, being a professor of commercial law at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, of copyright at the Catholic University of Valencia, as well as a guest lecturer in several masters programs, such as the Digital Law and Intellectual Property at ESADE (Barcelona) and the Magister Lucentinus (Alicante).

Inmaculada is a frequent speaker at national and international . She is also a member of INTA and AIPPI. Apart from her native Spanish, Inmaculada speaks fluent English and German.

Inmaculada is married and has two sons. To the extent this leaves spare time for herself she likes spending this acting in and co-directing plays.
