Carmen Urrea is a Spanish Intellectual Property Agent and an IP Consultant with a focus on trade mark office proceedings, trade mark prosecution and trade mark strategy and counseling. She has been advising clients on IP issues since 1999 and joined Isern Patentes y Marcas in 2018, specializing in brand protection, but also working in related intellectual property fields, such as patent prosecution or copyright.
She has experience in all areas of trademark prosecution, specially providing legal advice and availability opinions, conducting clearance searches and negotiating settlements in trade mark disputes.
She has also extensive experience of trade mark oppositions, office actions and appeals before the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO). In addition, she works closely with trade mark attorneys in foreign countries in relation to the prosecution and management of trade mark applications and registrations in those countries, managing large trade mark portfolios of numerous clients, from private individuals to major corporations or public entities.
