Eisenführ Speiser has been counselling clients in all fields of intellectual property protection for more than 50 years. At the firm’s four offices in Bremen, Munich, Berlin and Hamburg, more than 250 members of staff, including more than 50 patent attorneys and attorneys-at-law, work to enforce the intellectual property rights of our national and international clients – and if need be worldwide, through our network of renowned partner firms.

Over the past two decades, building on its traditional strengths in the field of IP prosecution, Eisenführ Speiser has acquired an outstanding reputation as a litigation firm. Our team handles cases before German and European courts and coordinates large-scale campaigns and licensing negotiations conducted in multiple jurisdictions in parallel.

Strong dedication to service delivery and proficiency in translating powerful technical and legal expertise into high-quality advice have always been the main driving force behind the successful growth of Eisenführ Speiser. These values were lived out in practice by Günther Eisenführ and Dieter Speiser in the early years of our firm, which was founded in Bremen in 1966.

Applying a business-minded approach is the standard we set ourselves. For us, intellectual property forms an integral part of a company’s assets, and applying it strategically and in a precisely targeted manner helps to achieve business objectives.

Innovation has played a key role at Eisenführ Speiser from the very beginning – we are pioneers among German IP firms in the digitisation of office processes. We were the first firm of patent attorneys in Germany to implement electronic management of deadlines. Office processes and file management went fully digital in 2011. Since 2014, we have offered our clients the possibility to access electronically their entire IP-related correspondence and thus to reduce greatly their own documentation work. As a ‘smart IP office’, we foster new ways of working with our clients, speeding up the exchange of documents with the patent offices and courts, while also enhancing the organisation and interaction of the various offices in the firm in a coherent and cohesive manner.
