Mark specialises in domestic and international patent matters including the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the chemical, metallurgical, nanotechnology and biochemical fields and related litigation. Mark is an expert patent attorney who files and prosecutes patent applications internationally for a wide range of local and foreign clients, most notably from the US and UK, from start-up companies to blue chip companies, as well as University and other parastatal organisations. He also has extensive experience in advising pharmaceutical and nutraceutical companies in navigating the legislative landscape in launching new products on to the market. He is the co-author of the South African chapter on International Intellectual Property Law published by the Centre for International Studies.
